Courts punish after the fact; cosmic justice is the fact — the dependable consequence built into how reality works. “Be not deceived,” the text warns: no appeal, however puerile, moves changeless decrees so mortals can dodge the just consequences of their own actions (2:3.2). For a people who have watched human courts fail for generations, this reframes the ground: ultimate justice does not depend on any judge’s goodwill. It is structural, like gravity. What you sow in the moral universe, you reap — not because anyone is angry, but because that is what the universe is.

If justice is structural rather than personal, then liberation work is not begging for favor — it is aligning with the grain of reality. Systems built on theft and domination are not merely cruel; in this cosmology they are unnatural, fighting the righteous order of things, and they carry their own collapse inside them. That does not make the struggle short or painless. But it changes its meaning: every act of truth-telling, every demand for repair, every refusal to cooperate with unrighteousness is cooperation with the deepest law there is.
